Land that dream job with these interviewing tips

For interview candidates at all levels, these tried and true techniques will work for you as you prepare to stand out as the best candidate in your interviews.

Especially for executives in transition, and those who are at senior levels and have not interviewed for a long time, these tips will provide the guidance to help you “practice” your messaging, and carry yourself in such a way that demonstrates your confidence, and your ability to communicate effectively.

When is the last time you had to compete for a position through a rigorous interviewing process? Well, for most, this is not your favorite thing to do. In fact, for most, it is downright daunting! The good news, there’s a solution…and I have it!

The information I’m sharing is part of an approach that I have used for decades as a candidate in the supply chain arena competing for advanced level positions. It also takes into consideration my roles as a hiring manager, where I’ve been able to assess and select candidates, ensuring I am putting the right person in the role.

I encourage you to listen to this short video clip that outlines the key elements of interview preparation. Remember, at the end of the day, you are selling yourself (confidently, not in a cocky way) and the impression you make goes a LONG way. It is not just about a person’s competency to do a job, it is the “fit” they have for the role. And without question, your ability to be conversational, authentic and engaging, with great energy, makes a HUGE difference.
