First, I have been a successful business owner for over ten years.
For seven of those years, I concurrently managed three franchise locations for a health and fitness program while successfully managing my career as a Supply Chain Leader for Johnson & Johnson, a fortune 100 company.
During my tenure as a business owner, I have been a top performer in the franchise network, being the first franchisee to grow the membership base to over 600 members. I was also the first to receive the award as a $1 million revenue generator.
The biggest challenge during business ownership came when the COVID pandemic hit, immediately closing all health and fitness locations in New Jersey for over six months, then imposing very significant constraints on the business operation for over nine months after re-opening in September 2020.
We overcame those significant challenges, and the business is thriving once again. In fact, one of the greatest contributions I made to the business was in 2019 when I retired from Johnson and Johnson. I immediately immersed myself in the details of the financials of the business and was able to double my profit without compromising any of the membership value in the process!
